Re: Iran Exonerates Six Who Killed in Isla m’s Name

WE? Why do I have to do anything with folks who aren't citizens of my country?
I've got enough trouble paying for the illegals living next door.

Is it impossible for them to fix themselves?

My own feeling is that we need to do a couple of things. First, we have
to find a way to provide meaningful jobs to the young Arab males so they
can start families and provide for them, thereby removing the primary
source for the extremist recruiting agencies. Secondly, we need to
marginalize the extremists. We can marginalize them through alliances
with moderates and by supporting moderate politicians and religious
leaders. Education is another tool. This is a long task over many
decades.

In other words, my solution is that we marginalize the extremists. This
is a common technique and well understood. It is effective, affordable,
and very doable.

Negotiate but have the bombs ready, just in case.

sure... I can even think of a couple things. But are they going to be
effective? You don't want to use violence or sit down and talk with them...
I'm just curious what you think the most effective thing to do would be to
improve our relations with them?

Good point. Let's just bomb them! :) That _is_ what you're

saying,

isn't

it? I mean, if you don't want to sit down and negotiate or use any

kind

of

diplomacy, what else is there besides violence and threats of

violence?
