If neither side is required to conceed any points of the negotiation
to the other, then what is the purpose of talking?
Do you have any evidence that Iran is in the least interested in
giving up any one of the 'must haves' on our side?
Or, is the act of training and arming the men who kill our soldiers
something you are willing to overlook in this negotiation?

No. That is not the point of negotiation Rick. It is a process by which
the involved parties or group resolve matters of dispute by holding
discussions and coming to an agreement which can be mutually agreed by
them. There is no requirement that either side scratch any backs,
