Re: Another Gun Nut Runs Amok

How many do you estimate were saved because of the Professor's charge?
Was his death useful, or just an empty gesture?

why don't you go read about him instead of asking stupid questions?

I would also be curious why you say "most of the dead"? In other words,
fleeing was a choice for some and they did not take it? I do not know
ballistics well enough to know, but had the Professor picked up a dead
student and used that body as a shield might he have been more effective?

they were trapped in their classrooms, an armed nutcase standing in the
doorway, putting big holes into your friends on either side of you.
unarmed, you have four choices.

1) hide behind overturned desks, play dead (most did).
2) risk being shot by running to, opening and jumping out of a 2 story
window (some did).
3) rush the guy (like the professor), so that others could jump out of a 2
story window.
4) die.

what do you do?

Last question: Has the place of employment of any people on this list
had any safety meetings with discussions of what to do and how to do it
if a shooter shows up? Are there any safe rooms assigned? Is there a
lock down strategy in place where you work? Where do you go in case of
an emergency? Do you have fire drills, for example?

Did any of these safety meetings discuss what to do when you are surprised
by an armed man entering a one door room with 15-25 people inside and he
starts putting bullets into the people next to you without warning?

I didn't think so.

you act as if these kids should have been able to save themselves, but
somehow didn't run fast enough. are you really blaming the victim?
