Re: Another Gun Nut Runs Amok

How many do you estimate were saved because of the Professor's charge? Was his death useful, or just an empty gesture?

I would also be curious why you say "most of the dead"? In other words, fleeing was a choice for some and they did not take it? I do not know ballistics well enough to know, but had the Professor picked up a dead student and used that body as a shield might he have been more effective?

Last question: Has the place of employment of any people on this list had any safety meetings with discussions of what to do and how to do it if a shooter shows up? Are there any safe rooms assigned? Is there a lock down strategy in place where you work? Where do you go in case of an emergency? Do you have fire drills, for example?

most of the dead did not have that luxury. One professor rushed him to give
some of his students the chance, and lost his life in the bargain.

Run away, Rick. Most students did exactly that and are alive right
now. This isn;t the Wild wild west and John Wayne is dead.

Rick, the issue for me isn;t the guns; its the violence. I don;t see
violence as a solution to violence.

We'll never know how many dead there would have been if there'd been

would have topped 100.
