Re: NY gun laws



As I understand the issues involved, Buck, the issue isn't just the
acquiring of the gun, but the secrecy of the ownership? If all the
owners are registered, finger-printed, and identified then the
Government has a nice tidy printed list of all their dangerous enemies.
Mounting a sweep to pick up these people is much easier and quite accurate.

I keep hearing over and over how gun laws make it so difficult for
lawful gun ownership. Here in the liberal haven of NY, the home of
the anti-gun universe, I can go to Wal-Mart and buy a rifle during my
lunch break.

Don't focus on what somebody opines about what _might_ happen in the
future, how do the existing gun laws hamper my gun ownership?
