What's a Second Life?

It's not a game, as there are no winners, losers or points. It's a
virtual universe where you create an avatar of your choice and go
exploring. Your avatar can teleport from place to place, fly and walk
on the bottom of the sea. It didn't sound remotely interesting to me
when it came out years ago, but of all things, an IBM Toronto gent
proposed using SL as a venue for a WDSC get together.
There are many real world companies who have a presence in SL. If you
do go there, check out the IBM CODESTATION Labyrinth. You design a
robot to navigate their maze.
