My son works for a GC and among his co-workers are Carlos and Luis who don't
speak much english but send their $ back home while being on welfare here. It
amounts to some good $ for them even at 75-100 bucks per day (cash of course).
My son's boss said he'll take any non-citizen anytime, especially being in
taxachusetts.
That american dream they're experiencing is my american nightmare.
Luis has a daughter ready for college and if my great governor deval patrick
passes one of his "initiatives" then she'll go to umass for free. Isn't that
great? Me, I pulled my son out of umass cause I'm having trouble paying the
10k or so per year.

I don't know. She's never mentioned seeing the same people again two
days later or anything like that. Of course, they could go to a
different lab to eliminate the chance of recognition.
I would like to take the high road and say that the employers don't hire
these people and indeed the corporate policy probably matches that
ideal. But I imagine the job site managers who need the warm bodies
would do whatever it takes, including fooling their own HR departments,
to get the job done and stay employed themselves.
