That makes me think of someone who takes a description of 'behemoth'
as proof that (1) dinosaurs are described in the bible, (2) that
that proves that dinosaurs could not possibly go back as far as 65+
million years and (3) that someone saw a living dinosaur rather than
simply stumbling over the fossilized remains of a dinosaur. ("Whoa!
THAT was surely a behemoth!")
Of course, even today there are rare individuals that hold out hope
that mokele mbembe _might_ be a line of dinosaur that survived. It
might have happened. Maybe the very last member of the very last
line died out around 5000 BC.
But basing a hope that it could somehow disprove evolution is
straining at something far smaller than a gnat.
