Re: Surgery is Scheduled - It's all over

I know....I still call it the iSeries. I was just getting used to that name
when they changed it.

But at least the system works which is more than I can say for the website
that hasn't gone live. Don't get me wrong....the current one works just
fine. They (the powers to be & marketing folks) just thought we needed to
funnel about $500,000 into a better web presence. So they hired a flashy
company back and started the project. Now almost a year later.....the date
is still moving. Outside companies always under estimate what we do with
our website. But I put a lot of the blame on our company for not running
projects like real projects. But I won't go there.

System what? Nevermind. Once I get back out there working, it'll be called
something else anyway.

That is the best news so far. (except of course that you survived the
surgery.)

Luckily, my system - the back end piece - the System i which does all
the
heavy work - works like a charm. (Knock on wood!)
