I never saw it or talked with a non-bitter veteran that saw it, Chuck.
There are some pretty bitter guys out there, but they're not bitter
because of the peace move.
One aspect the bitter ones always forget: Without the peace movement
tens of thousands more GIs would have died, with the same result in the
end. If these bitter soldiers were in Viet Nam the chances are they'd
be listed among the dead too. It was the peace marchers that brought
them home alive. Not McNamara or Nixon.

Were there welcoming parades? no. The individuals were welcomed back.
But disdain? Not at all.
