One aspect the bitter ones always forget: Without the peace movement tens of thousands more GIs would have died, with the same result in the end. If these bitter soldiers were in Viet Nam the chances are they'd be listed among the dead too. It was the peace marchers that brought them home alive. Not McNamara or Nixon.
