Rick, I read the article. Where did the media throw anyone under the bus?
Gayness has been an off-the-table issue for a very long time. Lots of
emotion. Its stories like this one that illuminate the issue and lets
people understand that gayness in itself is neither dangerous nor evil.
Some will be upset, but others will think a bit and realize that their
fears need to be reexamined. Every time these sorts of issues hit prime
time, more and more people become rational on the topic. I suspect this
is the reason that Ban Gay Marriage Amendment fizzled so completely and
so quickly. There's just no traction left with that Campaign of Hatred
that the Republicans trot out at every election.

Buck,
here's an example of at least the press throwing gays under the bus:

Is the implication here that gay men cannot go camping with young men?
Or, am I to understand that only gay democrats are allowed to go
camping with young men, gay republicans need not apply? if he'd been
a democrat, would this make news? under any circumstance?

And you have no opinion on the hypocritical, untruthful and
self-serving reaction from the democrats, taking full advantage of
this by throwing gays under the bus for political gain?
I missed that. How are the Democrats throwing the gays under the bus?
