Gratuitous insult, made without examination of the facts.
I believe that the Dems in Congress are worth more than the Repubs. I
also believe that the average contribution to the Dem party is higher
than that of the Repub party, although the Dems won't release such
figures so we don't know.
There are lots of "self-made men" in leadership positions on both
sides of the aisle, and for every Bush there is a Kennedy and a
Rockefeller. The Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority leader
are both men who had ordinary working careers before running for
office. On the presidential ticket, KERRY was the only one who hadn't
ever worked a real job in his life, and the Dems are worth more.
My analysis is that the Dems are the party of the very Rich and the
very Poor, and the Repubs are the party of everyone in between.
