Everyone knows that the Dems are the only intelligent, compassionate
people, and they really belong in power, so why vote at all, lets just
declare them winners by acclamation.
You have got to be kidding.
The rules were followed, the process was followed, rule of law
prevailed. Gore lost. Get over it.
If there is anything to get worried about, it was the networks calling
Florida for Gore while the polls were still open in the Panhandle, a
heavily Republican area. This is estimated to have cost Bush 5000
votes, which would have made the hanging chads issue moot.

Interesting question indeed, although not entirely relevant since we
got 9/11. I am not all that enthused with what the Republicans have
been doing, but the real question is would I be more satisfied with Al
Gore in office.
I am thankful that Al Gore was not the President on 9/11. This is
supposition of course, but I cannot imagine him acting strongly or
with resolve. He would have tried to negotiate with them.
