Hard to tell. He was REALLY drilling it down to what a religious group and in particular and African American group (and I mean no insult or anything with that, just detailing the audience) would want to hear. I mean he comes out and says he thinks life starts at conception and is has skated around that in the past. Mentioning "two Americas, the haves and the have-nots." which as the article below mentions, is an Edwards line. As on TV they were playing a lot more than the article mentions, and I was open minded going in but by the time it was though it was classic political stumping :-) He was really touting the importance of faith, etc. http://www.indystar.com/articles/1/160621-5531-009.html Chuck -----Original Message----- From: cpf0000-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:cpf0000-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Booth Martin Sent: Wednesday, July 07, 2004 1:56 PM To: cpf0000@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [CPF0000] There is a Link There Isn't a Link BS... Chuck, were these new comments in conflict with his other comments, or was he just refining and detailing his position? Frankly, it pleases me that he has more than the one speech that so many of them seem to have, so long as he isn't contradicting his positions.
