First of all, that's not the press, it's a bipartisan committee of the US
Senate (and please correct me if I'm wrong and it's the House).

"Additionally, the indictment states that Al Qaeda reached an agreement
with Iraq not to work against the regime of Saddam Hussein and that
they would work cooperatively with Iraq, particularly in weapons
development."
An "agreement not to work against the regime" is not the same thing as them
working together. In fact, if Al-Qaeda followed it, it almost _guarantees_
that they had no operatives in Iraq. Working together on weapons
development would argue against that, of course. But it's an _indictment_:
again, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean it's not yet proved?
The scumsuckers who piloted the planes on 9/11 were mostly Saudi Arabian
citizens. None of them were Iraqis. Iraq wasn't used as a base to prepare
for the attacks, or anything else, so far as anybody knows. What's so hard
to understand about that?
Cheers,
Martin.
