The good news is that Stephen Moore, the voice of Marvin the paranoid android in just about all the official incarnations of the guide, is set to reprise his role in the movie. it just wouldn't even be close to the same thing without him... I loved the radio series and the LP spinoffs, but wasn't as impressed with the TV series - possibly because I'd already associated the radio cast with the characters and the changes for the tv series (Trillian & Ford Prefect) didn't quite seem right.
