Hi Jim,

How's the job hunt going? I don't have a lead for you yet (I'm going through a similar shortage of work), but if you don't mind I would like to ask you a few questions about Websmart (WS). I very proficient with Progen and think that their tech support is usually quite responsive, so I'm considering their WS tool.

1) Which version did you work with - ILE or PHP?

2) How easy is it to learn their IDE?

3) Do you need to look at or tweak the generated code or templates?

4) How is the performance of the generated code?

5) How proficient are you creating full blown programs with WS?

6) Have you compared WS with any other web code generators?

7) What is your consulting rate? (I'm proposing this to a non-i potential customer for a complete system.)

Thank you.

To All,

I have recently ended a series of long term contracting jobs in the Aviation Maintenance and Overhaul industry, plus fueling operations, credit card auth and settle, etc. This has been primarily RPGIII/IV and Embedded SQL, between 3 companies, over the 9 years, with 6 years of tele-commute with 10% on-site. This included mergers and sales of parts or all of the operations, plus conversion from other systems.

I am currently seeking new projects. I do work from Greensboro, NC, and have my own i-520 for development, as well as set up for tele-commuting.

Below is a brief resume.
At this time I am not considering re-location. All the previous experiences are as an employee of an IBM BP, or working direct with principals (software companies or customers).
