But this former AS400 programming instructor has had excellect feedback from
his students that suggest some overlapping there. The people who were from
list of local companies known nation-wide for which I trainded their staff
would attest to this.

But I will not pretend to come up to Cozzi's experience, or Jon Paris, or
some of the others who have proven themselves both ways.

The folks who've been on the student end of the equation probably have the
"can't category" in the same proportions as teachers in general. The
exceptions might be cases where seniority rules and competence is rewarded
zero (government schools, though there are some really great teachers
there). Tenure might be a factor too, though I suppose that usually the
criteria for that relate to merit, with some possible ideoglogical
exceptions.
