That is why we have lawyers here.  Take contract to a lawyer and for around 
$100 to $200 you will avoid your current problems.

Chalk it up to experience.  That is the life of a contractor.  Find more 
reputable contract houses to deal with.

Tough world out there.  Get a lawyer.
