Thanks for replying.
There is only one file in the program and yes I am checking the field assigned in the select.
I have been writing cobol for 20+ years and have never seen this happen before. I have raised a PMR with IBM.

Hi,
I've got an ILE Cobol program I've just written that reads through the output of a DSPFFD command but when it tries to read it I am being returned a blank file status but successfully returns the first record.
It successfully opened the file, returning a '00' file status for that operation, which suggests to me I've got everything correctly setup.
In debug (I'm using SEP in RDp) I have set the status to '00' and continued to the next read and I get the same issue.
The file is selected as a sequential file (as it has no key) with an access mode of sequential and I am using declaratives but it doesn't seem to execute the declaratives.
Has anyone got any idea what is causing this?
