OK. Duh! I saw that in the examples. I looked up the NOMONOPRC option and it
led me to believe it had to with case translation of alphanumeric currency
symbols. I didn't think that relevant to this program so I omitted it. Big
mistake! That answers both of my questions. Thank you Terry.

If all my programs will have this call to QlnDumpCobol when a controlled
abend is forced, shouldn't I add *NOMONOPRC as a standard compile option for
all compiles instead of imbedding a PROCESS statement in all of the sources?
