Yes, quite expensive ....

Actualy I have a problem that we have object without originaly source
code... We have a job to add new field in a file that used in this program..
I think we can't do this job if we don't have source code.

There is no method to retrieve COBOL (or RPG) source from
compiled object provided with the AS400/iSeries as far as I know.

Several years ago there was a company that provided that service.
I think the cost was about $1.00 per line of source code.
This could get quite expensive if retrieving alot of source.

There could be License/intelectual rights issues involved in
reverse engineering the code.
