      Perhaps I'm not understanding but if you = do *NOT* want the trailing
   blanks
      truncated, CPYTOIMPF will do the whole = trick.  e.g., "CPYTOIMPF
      FROMFILE(OS400DBF) = TOSTMF('.\mailrecs.csv') RCDDLM(*CRLF)".  This
   will
      retain field sizes including = blanks.

        well, once you've got it in = .csv on the host, why not    send
        it to the target?  = Would be much faster and a    transit.
