Hi

The gethostname() help text says:

The gethostname() function is used to retrieve the name of the host from the
system.

A simple test shows that it returns:

hostname.domainname

combination.

Am I reading it correctly? Do I need to parse the returned value and extract
the hostname or there are other ways to get it?

QtocRtvTCPA seems to have host and domain names separately in format
TCPA0300. Not sure if I want to go this way though. Seems to be rather
complicated.

Thanks

Boris.
