I don't know the answer unfortunately, but I'd really like to know how you
did it if you can get it to work.

Strange that these flags aren't documented, I just checked the 7.1 doc and
they're still not. Perhaps you could ask in the C/C++ cafe (
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/community/cafe/ccpp.html)?

I have a need to carry out an _Ropen on a file that contains datalink
fields
and have not so far been able to find a way of doing this.

I recently managed to get _Ropen to allow me to open files containing BLOBs
and SQL UDTs by means of the (apparently undocumented?) open options
"lobptrs=Y, sqludt=Y", which I stumbled across in Google, but so far I've
not found anything equivalent that allows the use of datalinks. I guess at
"datalink=Y" and "dlink=Y" but no joy.

Anyone know the answer?

Thanks

Pete
