Fw: Decimal problem

I am trying to do a modulus operation on a var: 

decimal(DEC_DIG, 0) x 


x % 2 

but i keep getting the following error: 

CCC#SKSRC/CSRC(CVTFLD), 446.23: CZM0068(30) Operation between types 
  "decimal(31,0)" and "int" is not allowed.                               


what am I doing wrong?
