nope. The compiler takes the "extern "C"" ( the symbol name is not mangled
when I DSPMOD ). But the compile still fails when I uncomment the #pragma
entry stmt.

Thanks for the tip. It moves me in the right direction.

extern "C" {
void EntryProc( ) ;
}
#pragma entry( EntryProc )
#include <stdio.h>
#include <errno.h>

extern "C" {
void EntryProc( )
 {
 return ;
 }
}

The following types of functions cannot be used with #pragma entry:
- functions with C++ linkage
- C++ member functions
- template member functions
- overloaded functions

I think your's is case 1. Try adding extern "C" in front.

[C400-L] #pragma entry

Anyone have an idea on how the #pragma entry stmt line is supposed to be
coded?

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/books/c094816106.htm

the following code fails to compile, but the compiler does not emit any
messages that explain why:

void EntryProc( ) ;
#pragma entry( EntryProc )
#include <stdio.h>
#include <errno.h>

// ------------------ EntryProc ---
void EntryProc( )
 {
 return ;
 }

I am hoping to code my own entry procedure in place of the C runtime
library
procedure. The goal being to eliminate the terminal session that as400
c++
automatically starts up when the STL is used in a module.
