Adrian,

I have character data that contain embedded "'" characters. I was hoping
that if I can find an API to use that I would not have to escape the "'"
characters before calling the CHGDTAARA command.

Currently I escape the "'" characters and then call the CHGDTAARA command
through the system(...) function.

Hi Etienne,
check out QXXCHGDA in xxdta.h. However, the documentation states that you
can only use this API to change character data, so it may not be of any help
in many situations. Why not using the CHGDTAARA command thru QCMDEXC ?
