Some of the item types are "reserved" and the rest are user defined -

Reserved

0=Phantom
3=Assortment
4=Kit
5=Planning bill
6=Non-balancing

The rest are user defined

The usual definitions are:

1=Manufactured
2=Purchased
7-Z could be most anything
