Patty,

All BOMs must have a parent, so an item number is required. In the latest versions of LX, you can handle the movement at the routing level.

Best Regards,

Subject: [BPCS-L] Bom Setup with intercompany process

I have a need to set up a BOM that has a PROCESS (as opposed to a part#) done at another warehouse within the company. I realize I could use a Transfer in the BOM, but that requires a part#. We are trying to get away from creating new part #s unnecessarily.
If I use outside processing, It requires a part# again, and also a lot of processes.

Does anyone know a way to create a intercompany PROCESS without creating a part#?

Thank You,
Patty
