I have used ECM in the past. All it does is manage the extract / import of
the data from BPCS. The files are all in the "T" series, for instance
TOHB / TOLB for orders. You will need software to translate the data from
those files into EDI formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc) and then transmit it
to either a VAN or your trading partners. As an alternative you might be
able use a 3rd party to manage the translation. Then you could use native
IBM i FTP to send / receive the data, but you would need to put together a
program to import and export to the ECM files...
