Just an FYI - I use SOQ (Save Outq) by Worksright Software - http://worksright.com

Very inexpensive
Allows me to delete, move, copy and save to tape.

Very functional - I've used it forever

Jan,

I do something very similar to this. I have a CL program that displays
all of the spooled files on the system to a report. I then copy that
report to a file and run an RPG program to read the file. I have rules
within my application to determine what actions should be performed on
which spooled files. My users know that I delete ALL spooled files that
are not in a specific OUTQ after 30 days. The user ID that I use to run
month end processes is the only exception to this rule. Other spooled
files get moved to specific printers, duplex options modified, etc...

Does that help?

We are running BPCS but this is not a full BPCS related question but maybe
someone out there had a similar experience/requirement.

We have a couple of jobs running in QSYSWRK. Currently we end some of them
manually for day end save and runs and they all restart after day end.

I would like to end these jobs programmatically but as you all know you
need a Job name, User name and job number to end a job.

1: Do you know of any command, utility etc. I can run to
retrieve and output the above required info to an outfile?

2: Anybody out there managed to save the changed objects
from more than one library to a SAVF? If so - how did you do it, because
with SAVCHGOBJ you can only define one library.

Thanks

Jan
