I'd also recommend upgrading from V5R3M0 to something more current. V5R4M5
should be safe. I recommend the M5 because it helps the transition to
newer hardware. V5R4 won't bite you with ANZOBJCVN like V6 or V7 would.

V5R3 is long out of support. V5R4 is still supported for the foreseeable
future:
