Wally, perhaps your support requirements would not be meant by ala carte
services, both in terms of frequency and what is provided.

Based on my recent experiences ala carte services, if provided, come at a
hefty price tag - $250 to $350 per hour for every minute spent. It's the
"every minute spent" that is the killer. Included in the billing will be
research time, programming time, testing time, packing time and any post
receipt support time. The bill per incident runs up very quickly. And
Typically ala carte services do not provide updated documentation nor
supporting routines that may be necessary to incorporate the fix - database
conversions is one such category that comes to mind.

The other consideration is major releases. Ala carte users have to
relicense the software at the standard retail rate subject to all new
customer policies.

I agree with all of you, but I never said "free": we were agreeable to
pay even an extra cost for our condition of "not a valid customer".

In my modest opinion, these are the opportunities to demonstrate that
they care about the customers (and potential ones)... but again, not for
free.

Not intending to initiate a discussion about this topic but, Infor
technically "washed his hands" on this issue for customers without
maintenance. We understood that we would have to pay extra $$ for not
having maintenance but the answer was simple: "no maintenance no
support".

Very sad. Another reason supporting our decision to cut the maintenance.

I hope somebody knows something about this issue: a couple of weeks ago
I moved an EDI map and standard set from dev to prod using the TLE
procedure to save and restore these stuffs. Since then all my outbound
messages to customers and suppliers are including a wrong data format in
the Functional Group Header:

I have checked everything (standard set, syntax set, components, etc.)
and I cannot see where this miscalculation is coming from. The *SYSDAT
is the only value I see assigned to component 0373 (this date field)
which is also showed in the trace report:
