Hi All,

Thanks to everyone for the help with my request.

I'll have a look at Kits first and see what I can achieve with it.

Thanks again,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Suggest that you also look at 'Kits and Assortments' under Planning Bills.

Promotions and Deals can give a free good or a quantity of free goods away - but from memory I think these goods are FOC and you cannot choose which goods to give - either 'B' or 'C' in your scenario. It would be either 'B' or 'C' as dictated in PRO110 - Discount Window when setting up.

If you use Kits or Assortments the associated item ('B' or 'C') can be optional or standard depending on if you view the deal as a 'Kit' (all 'components' standard) or 'Assortment' (all components optional). If you want to, you can also set the system up to choose which associated item ('B' or 'C')to include during order entry.

If you choose 'Kit' a typical creation and processing workflow might be,

1. Create parent INV100 ...... Item type '4'
2. BOM600 ..... Components set to 'S' (Standard)
3. Order entry, pick and print ... System allocates components not parent
4. Confirm .... System does an '=' transaction on component (negative)
System does an '=' and 'B' transaction on parent
5. Invoice.

System stores sales analysis at parent level.

I hope it helps,

Kind regards,

Subject: [BPCS-L] Promotions&Deals setup

Hi there,

I am trying to setup a deal which may not be possible and was looking
for a bit of help.

The promotion is as follows:

If a quantity of 5 of a particular product A is bought, we need to
supply either product B or product C at a fixed reduced price.

I'm not sure if Promotions&Deals can handle this sort of promotion.

Please feel free to put me out of my misery.

Thanks,

Paul
