Hi Clare ,
this is really the problem.
The Bpcs environment is not in China on a system with DBCS . The environment is in Italy and it is not in DBCS.
We are thinking if there is a tool to convert a report in Chinese perhaps
on a PC.

Hi Everyone ,

We are using AS/400 V5R3 (with OS/400 in Italian as primary language and
English as secondary language) , BPCS Vers. 6.0 Rel. 04.
In the same environment we manage different companies in the world
without problems.
Now we have to manage a new company based in China and we want to put it
in the same environment together with the other companies .
We have decided to manage all the screens and some reports in English but
we have to generate the invoices and the purchase orders in Chinese .
We do not have any idea how to generate or convert a report in chinese
and what it is necessary.
Has anyone come across this matter?

Appreciate help
Thanks
Roberta

Hi Roberta,

Is the Chinese environment on a system in China with DBCS (double byte)
support? You will need that for chinese characters unless you use some
kind of PC system to do it. I have BPCS customers who are running this
kind of scenario, but they are using a system in China.

hope this helps,

Clare
