Roy,

Agree with Norman.

You may also want to be aware that there are 2 enhancements in LX FP1
that, while not addressing volume specifically, may be beneficial in
some businesses. They are:

1. There is a new 'Lead Time Type' option to calculate total LT
utilizing the routing operations in SFC100. This would eliminate a
possible discrepancy between material planning LT from INV100/MRP140 and
the rolled up LT from SFC100.

2. There is a new option on a routing operation called 'Fixed Duration
Operation' where the hours are fixed regardless of the quantity. Good
for, as an example, a baking operation.

We are currently running BPCS 405CD on V5R1 and will be moving to
another
system using V5R3.
We have already paid our dues to Infor to make this change legally, but
are there any issues to be concerned about regarding the operating
system?

Hi Claudia,

We're on 4.05CD ~went to V5R3 two years ago when converting to a i520
box. We did not encounter any problems. And (if my memory serves me
correctly) did not have to load additional IBM PTFs or BPCS BMRs, just
needed the software key from SSA...

Hope this helps.
