Long time ago we dealt with this kind of issue using
(a) unit of measure that had different buy sell than stocking
(b) special pricing
(c) phantom in product structure.
(d) billing modification

(a) look at # decimal places supported when switching units of measure

(b) look at # decimal places supported for combinations of item, customer, date range ... if you populate ESP file with some special price rules, then when you enter customer order, it will grab whatever is in there ... for our version of BPCS it is some part of ORD500 that does this and you have to have AS/Set to make sense of it

PRO is for more sophisticated discount rules than the basic ORD stuff

Watch out ... if you have a mountain of customer orders, then change the pricing rules, that does NOTHING to the prior orders. New rules only apply forwards to orders entered after the rules change.

Watch out ... if you have several sets of ESP rules out there for same item customer combination, and overlapping dates, the rules that get applied might not be the ones you intended.

(c) We have customers who want 1,000 units in a shipping container, and at one time we were trying to track inventory of shipping containers, so we had a phantom that was some fraction of a container.

(d) We modified the billing program (BIL522 in our version) to fix a rounding problem.

We are changing to a discount structure that will yield a net price with decimal places in excess of two. I have check with SSA and there isn't an option to control this. I have reviewed the archives and only one one suggestion was given. That suggestion was to use a trigger program and pass the ECLW.

Has anyone experienced this problem and implemented a solution? Can anyone tell me what program(s) creates LNET on the ECL from information in the ESP database? While talking with the Help Line, they couldn't be specific as to what programs needed changing, but gave me some places to look (BIL650D, PRO530B, PRO775B, PRO710B). I had thought that I had found it in ORD770B, but a change there hasn't effected the order.

Any help in this will be much appreciated.
