The other thing to keep in mind is that between 6.04 and 8.2, BPCS was
double-byte character set (DBCS) enabled.  That means that instead of the
data type being A for Alpha, it is now O for DBCS Open. The change to allow
DBCS caused us to rewrite some of our queries and to replace some of our
older printers.

The customer number and vendor numbers have changed from 6, 5 to 8,8
respectively.

Every address line is now 50 characters and there are now 6 lines of
address

All of the other field lengths are the same that you noted below.

Phone and fax numbers still 25,

Data number (e-mail address) is now 50.

We currently are running BPCS V6.04 and are thinking about moving
towards
V8.  Since we have built our own applications over the BPCS files they
would have to be modified as well.  It is my understanding that there

some changes in fields sizes in V8 from V6.  I am most interested in the

changed
