In other versions of BPCS there is no such animal.
You need different settings different places to get at different kinds of
transactions.
For example, the "B" transaction (shipping) causes updates to profit center
from what has been populated in the header of the customer order, which in
turn comes from the customer master defaults. Change some parameter
defaults, and it does nothing for what got keyed in under the old rules, is
only applied to new input.

The fact that you mentioned your alias file may be a clue. I assume that
you mapped cost center values for each possible Advice Note Number
(THADVN) that could be returned by the inventory posting engine. Bear in
mind that the alias file is only referenced by the system when the
segment being resolved contains an advanced macro. If you are using
THADVN, you need to verify that you flagged it as an advanced macro,
since it is not one by default.

Good luck. I can give you 10 minutes on the phone if you need me to
walk you through it.

I have checked the model and there is no hard coding the macro THADVN
is
present in the segment 1.

Isaac.

Look your model settings. Most probably, you have hard-coded cost
center
there.

Hi All,

What parameter setting will make all inventory transactions posted to
GL
will default to only one cost center? I have checked the Alias file
GAH
and everything looks good. We are using BPCS v6.1.01.
