Hi Tom.
Besides the license key requirement of moving to a new processor, there would be at least one other application related issue you would probably encounter. I'm going by some projects that I did on moving 4.05.CD to Risc-V5R2 machines. The existing BPCS programs (in ver 4.05CD downwards) that are needed to validate lic.key will not work on any of the Risc machine. you would require a patch on this. Normally SSA would provided this if you're on OGS. Besides this, there should not be any issue. If you require a copy of this patch, pls. contact me off-line at this e-mail below. I could send you this.

Rgds.

Subject: [BPCS-L] BPCS V4 on V5R3

Greetings ...

We are on BPCS 4.0.03 with custom Y2K mods. We preparing to upgrade our
iSeries, to a box that requires V5R3. While I have no reason to believe that there will be any issues (we are on V5R1 now, and old BPCS is straight RPG),
I think it prudent to ask ....

Do any of you know of any issues with the pre-V6 versions of BPCS on V5R3?

Thanks
