Within Excel it is possible to copy a spool file to a .xls format. If
you wanted to automatically have the system write to a file it would
require a modification.

On the Microsoft website there are steps that you need to administer on
the particular user's PC to change Excel to accept a file from the
AS/400 and loss the characteristics.

Is it possible for the user to print a report, such as the Account
Receivable aging, to a file for import into excel? Isn't this something
fairly simple on an AS400 environment, BPCS version 6.1.2? We have a
request from our auditors for many of our monthly std reports to be in
an excel format for them to test.
