Subject: Re: Finished good item produced as Lot Controlled, sold as non
Lot item ?

This scenario potentially requires that we know in advance which lot is
shipped on consignment to a certain customer. The best case may be to
develop a
simple mod to change the lot number to "ANY" by decreasing the shipped lot
for
that order / shipped quantity and increasing lot "ANY" for the same quantity

and ship it to a consigned "warehouse" until it is consumed by the
customer.
Then a regular post ship order could be placed on the consigned warehouse to

the customer for the consumed quantities at month end if that is the PO
scenario
you describe.

This could be done by having a ZCC table (SYS105) defined for warehouses
that
received consigned inventory. I would not expect that this would be a major

mod to occur during either the shipping process or preferably as a resupply
order that might have a special order class to call another program
(document)
to change the lot number. This should not be a big deal.

Please feel free to contact me off line if you would like to discuss this
scenario or other thoughts.

Have a great day.
