The software is the same.
The logic is the same.
What is different is how you tailor BPCS to run at particular customer, or
in a particular environment.
Check the Logic Manual that comes with BPCS, and review what basic
education in BPCS is available to your firm.
You may wish to sign up for some of the BPCS classes that are aimed at
technical people who are new to BPCS, to be sure of getting at basics that
people in one kind of industry might tend to ignore.
I am in the Wiring Harness Industry, and know that there are some aspects
of BPCS for the drug and food industries that not exactly apply to us, such
as yield, and shelf life.
