You could use DRP instead. The service division could firm their material
requirements in DRP, thus giving the factory a firm production plan for
service.

Subject: Release PO to self, possible ?

Dear ALL:

We are using BPSC C/S 6.1.01 on HP-UX.

There are two business unit, factory and after service. Both of them are
profit center. And the material control and purchasing function belong to
the factory division.

The top manager of factory request the after service division to "release"
a formal purchase order to factory so they can have a firm production plan
for the after service division.

My question is: Is it possible to release the PO to self in the same
company ?
How can solve this issue ?

Thanks.

Jingker Cheng
