We keep about 6 million transactions on ITH or about 6 months worth.

We run the sys program and have our aging days set to 180.

I agree with Rob. Use SYS Menu Option 5, modify Transaction History System
Parameters, Inventory Transactions to 730 days, then run month end to purge
your transactions and resequence the ITH records. If you're uneasy about
it, use the YTH file for backup.

Hello All,

We are on BPCS V 6.1.01 (mixed Mode), AS/400.

Our ITH file is populated with the data of more than 5
years. We want to keep only 2 years data in ITH.

If i simply delete all ITH records with date more than
2 years old, will there be any problem for any program
because transaction sequence# from 1 will be deleted.
?? Or any problem in the data ??

Or Please suggest any better other way to clean ITH
file.

Thanks for your help.....

Jim
