Warm greetings ....

As Chris Devous noted below, box upgrade planning
puts the unhappy "cost of a new BPCS key" subject
in the middle of the table. As a vendor, we've heard
dozens of strong to anguished complaints about it.

Our new Bells & Whistles® software product,
Locksmith for BPCS, has been developed to
reduce and/or postpone those heavy costs.

Details available:
http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/locksmith_bpcs.htm

In a nutshell, Locksmith(TM) archives historical data from
elected BPCS environments and places it elsewhere
on the system in a way that sustains user access.
The integrity of BPCS file relationships is respected and
maintained. Used well, Locksmith restores response time
to what it used to be when BPCS was first implemented.

Locksmith --- it's another way we take the tarnish off BPCS:

[ ... .... ]

My employer has a valid, user based license to run BPCS.
Remember, we are user based, not machine based. Yet,
SSA wants 5 figures to issue a key for a machine
upgrade we are planning.

My approach to this will be through law and equity,
and I would suggest the same for Guy. I will pay lawyers
long before I ever cut one check to SSA for what I
already own (and have paid for).
