Just seen your message so sorry if my reply is untimely.

I've been (happily) using a change management tool called OMS for the past 7
years - it takes care of all AS/SET objects.  It was supplied by a company
in the Netherlands.  Let me know if you are interested in finding out more
and I'll get some contact info for you.
