Select Add-Ins from the Tools menu. Make sure the box for Client Access Data 
Transfer is checked.

Does someone know how to add the import / transfer option to the excel 
toolbar?

I did it once and can't find my notes.    Within Excel you can do a file 
transfer to the worksheet cells.
