I don't have all of the answers - you are going back a lifetime ago.

But, as I remember we set up a new document type in the ord program and he
calls OLM594B which spawns, I believe the whole ecm process. This document, of
course, ahs to be added to a particular order class (which is coded to the
order).

The adaptors are our own that we added. After we looked at what came out on the
TA** files; I wanted some more information. So I added a post adaptor (after
ecm runs) which was an asset program that would collect additional information
from ech; rcm and other files to get the data I needed to send my asn.

I also wrote an adaptor to "suspend" an asn if I didn't get the pallet
information from the warehouse (I have the warehouse send me the ucc-128 code
and the product that is on it). Once I have the pallet information, I sent the
asn through and modified a post adaptor to put the data (ucc-128 bar code,
quantity shipped, etc) on the proper asn file.

By the way, I am saying 'I wrote ... ' loosely; programmers wrote it, I
specified it...

We do have OLM. Channel is Grocery.

That was my thought also; to add the missing info to the LL* files. I am
having difficulty figuring out how to make ECM pick it up and populate the
TA** files. What are the criteria it looks for in what files? At what
point does the TPEC get populated for the ASN?

Did you make mods to the existing ASN adaptors? Not use them and created
your own? Or did you create your own to use in addition to the existing
adaptors, and if so what was the function of the ones you added?

Thanks for responding!

We are on 6.04; April cum; lots of mods.

Do you have OLM?? What channels do you operate in (retail, auto, etc).

Basically, what we did is short circuited the olm programs and put in a
cover screen to our pick confirm to add the data we needed (pro number,
carton count, freight terms, freight charge, etc) and then wrote that to the
llx/llh/lll files.

I am assuming you will be using ecm; they have an outbound asn product -
some mods were made by adding ecm adaptors to the outbound asn processes.

It cost us several months of labor; but has worked very well for us since
1999.

Hello,
We are interested in modifying BPCS to create ASN data without having to use
the GUI Load Control Center. Has anyone implemented such a
modification? Would you be willing to share information on which programs
need to be modified?

We are on 6.004 Mixed Mode, July Cum.

I unfortunately am not allowed any budget for this endeavor.
Any information would be appreciated.
